Paolo Ronco, Head of Research and Innovation at Viacqua, will present the LIFE Svolta Blu project on 27 March 2026, within the framework of the ALDA Winter School, at Hotel Trettenero in Recoaro Terme.
The event represents an important opportunity for the exchange of experiences, best practices, and innovative tools for the sustainable management of natural resources, as well as for strengthening the active involvement of local communities. The Winter School, entitled “Water as a Common Good”, provides a dynamic platform for dialogue among public authorities, companies, researchers, and organisations engaged in promoting sustainable development models.
During the initiative, Paolo Ronco will present the LIFE Svolta Blu project, funded by the European Union’s LIFE Programme. The project was developed in response to the growing water crisis, exacerbated by climate change and human impact, particularly evident in the Vicenza area. It introduces an innovative approach based on “blue credits”, a system designed to incentivise the reduction of water consumption and investments in water protection, fostering collaboration among citizens, businesses, and public authorities.
The presentation will provide an overview of the project’s main activities, objectives, and future perspectives, highlighting Viacqua’s role in testing cutting-edge solutions and promoting sustainable models for water resource management. It will also serve as an opportunity for exchange and discussion on experiences, challenges, and solutions, contributing to the international debate on these issues.
