
On 20 May 2025, the LIFE Svolta Blu project was presented at the Adige Water Fair, an inter-institutional and inter-project event hosted by Eurac Research in Bolzano (Italy).
During the thematic session dedicated to ‘Governance and climate adaptation in the Adige basin,’ Silvia Garziera, Head of Sustainability and Environmental Education at Viacqua SpA, illustrated the innovative approach of blue credits: a tool designed to promote more sustainable, participatory and future-oriented water management.
The presentation provided a valuable opportunity to engage with institutions, researchers, businesses and stakeholders active in water resource management, contributing to the collective reflection on how to strengthen the governance of the water system and address climate challenges at the local level.
What is the Adige Water Fair?
The Adige Water Fair is an event created to promote integrated and shared water management in the Adige river basin, overcoming sectoral and geographical fragmentation. In a context increasingly affected by water scarcity and climate change, the Fair has involved various stakeholders in order to:
Through thematic sessions, pitch talks and discussions, the event aimed to outline a shared plan of action on the necessary and desired actions for the future, in line with the interests of the various stakeholders and consistent with the Water Management Plan and the Flood Risk Management Plan at the district basin level.
