LIFE Svolta Blu in Brussels for the LIFE Platform Meeting on Water Resilience

On 14 and 15 October 2025, LIFE Svolta Blu participated in the LIFE Platform Meeting “Focus on Water Resilience Strategy – LIFE Strategic Integrated Projects implementing River Basin Management Plans practices”, organised by CINEA in Brussels and dedicated to fostering exchange among LIFE projects working on water management and resilience.

The meeting brought together around 90 representatives from different LIFE projects working on water and Nature-Based Solutions, creating an opportunity to exchange experiences, practices and approaches developed across different European territories. Paolo Ronco (Viacqua) and Filippo Moretto (Anbi Veneto)attended the event on behalf of LIFE Svolta Blu.

Over the two days, participants heard from representatives of the European Commission, CINEA and organisations and public authorities active in water management.

A key part of the meeting was dedicated to thematic working groups, giving participants the opportunity to discuss some of the main challenges and opportunities related to water resilience, including pollution control, quantitative water management, Nature-Based Solutions, governance, finance, digitalisation and innovation.

Participation in the LIFE Platform Meeting represented an important opportunity for LIFE Svolta Blu to engage with other European experiences and exchange approaches and practices aimed at promoting more sustainable and resilient water management.
